so and yes.
my first driving lesson started yesterday @ 6.30pm (Yio Chu Kang).
went off early 10 minutes from the office. Reach there around that time. So excited but scare.
Called him and tell him that I have reached, he said he is turning in soon.
and off we go. he brought me to a place where there is a lot of bungalow houses. Those small roads with little cars but to me a newly beginner driver, it is counted as a lot already. he came to a stop at a dead end. there were 3 more instructors teaching over there. so the first thing i did was to register on a piece of paper of course. and afterwhich he told me how to signal, on the lights, be it dim or high. he told me to wait awhile, as he wanted to check for 4D number and also forward to the other 3 instructors. smiling at me. ok and so 15 minutes simply past like tat.
next, he instructed me to sit over to the driver seat. and asked me to step the clutch totally to practice my gear. i spent another 10 minutes to keep changing the gear. it is so hard to change especially to the reverse gear. i am wondering is the gear spoil or i did not step the clutch totally. im wearing track shoes, so prob i dunno if i step all. anyway. he went for smoking, while i practice seriously on my gear.
finally, i can start driving off. double checking that my sitting position is stretchable enuff for the accelerator and the clutch, that i am able to see the bonnet. forget about the side mirror. he asked me to try stepping on the accelerator first, which i did, and it is at a very harsh way, i would have fly off if the car is moving. HAHA. but what do you expect from me, the beginner, so can't blame me. =] he instructed me to step the clutch, change to gear one, and put down the hand brake. while the car slowly pick up, i am suppose to step on the accelerator slightly and slowly let go the clutch. and yeah, it moves smoothly. NO ENGINE DIE AT ALL. =]
he taught me how to left turn/right turn/U turn. actually not really teach, i would like rather control my steering wheel for me. i still not very sure on the turnings especially the left turn. of course not forget to signal before turning. forget about the bonnet and the blind views. i dun have time for that =x oh ya. there were a lot of humps over there. sometimes i have to slow down from very far, if i forget, i have to step on the brake. there was this time when he asked me to step on the brake, my reply to him was i cannot. LOL. i dunno why i say i cannot. my right foot just dun wan to move away from the accelerator pedal. =]
he got this very big cane, or rather something that look like a bamboo stick to hold on to my left foot for the clutch maintaining. he warn me saying that he got cane so better drive properly. haha. conversation between us were like 1/2 hokkien, 1/4 chinese, 1/4 english. lol. trying my hard to understand his hokkien as i dun really speak dialect. anyway, everything simply went quite smooth, and it was almost time, so i stopped and pass over to him. MY FOOT ARE CRAMP-ING. =[
and back to YCK Mrt. of course not forgetting to ask for next week available slot. next driving lesson will be on wed and also sunday. anyway, it cost me $42 for learning private (1 and the 1/2 half hour) and the registration cost me $50. total damage for yesterday is $92. Ok. BROKE.
called her immediately to report to her about the driving. but her phone somehow cannot get thru. too bad.
so tired yeah. reached home, play cs awhile and watch 9pm show and cs awhile and msn game/chat awhile with darling before she heads off to HK at 4.30am. enjoy your lovely HK trip with your hun. gonna miss u. =] off to bed.
but but but. not sure if i dreamt.i woke up at 2.30am as my stomach HURTS. SUPER HURT. go toilet also no use. then try to sleep again. dunno why. =[ so tired right now.
blogging now as im trying to download something to install SFTP in my dummy Linux server. sounds fun and exciting as i have never done this kind of thing b4. manages to understand a bit. hope everything will be smooth and i don't need to come back on weekend =x
